This is one of the very good musical things in my life.
What you see above is TGOF. TGOF stands for Three Great Old Folks.
TGOF is a trio dedicated to making beautiful music for
all kinds of events in all sorts of venues.
It may seem odd to have a trio of Piano, bass and bass trombone, but trust me, it sounds really good and appeals to a great many people. No drums, no guitars, no LOUD!
These three great old folks are, from left to right, Michael McGuire, Arlene German and Larry Walters. I’ll let you figure out who plays what.
We performed at Freedom Village on April 21st, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM for a grand opening of a new lobby. It was a good place to come and hear some great stuff. Too bad you couldn’t make it - we would have liked to see you.
The combined experience of these three musicians is almost unmeasurable. Among them they have worked for and with most of the greatest singers and bands you can imagine. If you want music for grownups at your next event, you really might want to consider us as a real change for the better for whatever you have going. It ain’t rock-n-roll, so your ears and conversations are safe. The group swings, playing a lot of styles with panache and ease. If needed for more oomph, we can add a drummer (one of the really good ones) to “kick it up a notch.”
